cr8rs Community Guidelines

1. Respectful Conduct

• No Harassment or Hate: Treat everyone with respect. Do not use cr8rs to send messages or content that harasses, bullies or threatens others. Hate speech, slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristic are strictly prohibited.
• No Trolling or Spamming: Do not use the tipping message feature to spam or troll. Creators should not spam Contributors with unsolicited solicitations.
• Privacy and Personal Information: Do not share sensitive personal information (yours or others') through cr8rs tip messages or any part of the Platform. Contributors should avoid putting private data (phone numbers, addresses, emails) in tip messages. Creators should not solicit Contributors for personal data through the Platform.

2. Appropriate Content

• Tip Messages: Content in a tip message should be appropriate for a general audience. Avoid obscene language, sexually explicit comments or excessive profanity. Creators can moderate which messages appear publicly or to creators using the tip moderation tool that cr8rs offers.
• No Illegal or Harmful Content: It is forbidden to use cr8rs to disseminate content that is illegal, promotes illegal activities or could cause harm - including incitement to violence, promotion of terrorism, distribution of illegal drugs or extremist propaganda via messages or links.
• No Malicious Links or Code: Do not include links in tip messages that lead to malicious websites, viruses or scams. cr8rs may automatically strip or block links for security.

3. Fair Use and Honesty

• No Impersonation: Do not impersonate cr8rs staff, other Creators or any person. Do not send tips under a false name intended to deceive.
• Authenticity in Promotions: Creators promoting their cr8rs page must do so honestly. Do not claim false matching donations, false charity affiliations, or mislead Contributors about how tips will be used. If you say tips will go towards a specific goal, follow through.
• No Exploitation: Creators must not exploit Contributors through false pretences. Contributors must not use tips as a form of blackmail or coercion.
• Profanity and Content Filtering: cr8rs provides (and is actively expanding) keyword and profanity filtering tools for Creators to manage message visibility on their alert widgets and notifications. Creators are encouraged to configure these settings to maintain a positive environment. cr8rs continues to work on expanding user control over content visibility across the platform.

4. Moderation and Reporting

• Creators' Responsibility: Creators have tools to manage their experience, including the ability to set minimum tip amounts and filter keywords in tip messages. Creators are encouraged to use these tools.
• Reporting Abuse: Report abusive behaviour at support@cr8rs.app. cr8rs will investigate and may issue warnings or suspend accounts for violations.
• No Retaliation: Do not harass someone in return for a perceived violation. Use the proper reporting channels.

5. Creators Content and Platform Use

While cr8rs does not moderate the content Creators publish on external platforms, cr8rs expects Creators to adhere to those platforms' community standards and applicable law. If a Creator is banned or suspended on a primary content platform for serious misconduct, their cr8rs account may also be subject to review or suspension.

• Displaying cr8rs Alerts on Stream: Alert widgets are designed to show only intended information (Contributor display name, message, tip amount). Do not tamper with widgets to reveal private data.
• No Unauthorized Use of Alerts: Only the Creator who owns an account should use that account's alert widget. Using another Creator's alert link is considered misuse.
• Content Restrictions: Do not imply that cr8rs endorses illegal activity or any cause cr8rs does not explicitly support.
